Both theory and practical will be included in the syllabus of Fisheries University which is to be established soon. Preparations are underway for the establishment after the National Parliament approved it.
Subjects like aqua culture and fish diseases will be taught in the university, Vice Chairman of Myanmar Fisheries Federation said.
Vice Chairman, Myanmar Fisheries Federation, Toe Nandar Tin said “Experts from Fisheries Department and university teachers will join the university for teaching. We have already discussed with them for that. Students will be able to learn many subjects including fish diseases found in fishery farms.”
A 100-acre wide modern farm will also be implemented for practical, the Vice Chairman added.
Vice Chairman, Myanmar Fisheries Federation, Toe Nandar Tin said “Myanmar Fisheries Federation and the government will work for the modern farm – it’s expected to be in Yangon.”
Fisheries University Open Date is unknown yet - the university is expected to be established in Hlaing Township of Yangon Region.
