People’s Parliament: Seized Area, Electricity Access, Bill Focused

People’s Parliament held its regular meeting on Tuesday. A question raised was on the plan to return 31 acres of Namkone Lake and 165 acres of farmland in Kyaythee Township seized by the 131st Infantry Brigade.

Arrangements for 24-hour electricity access in Moemait Township as well as in Myaypon Township areas where national grid passes were enquired. A representative also enquired about the plan for villages which are near to the recently installed power lines to get power from Seikphyu Power plant.

Arrangements for electricity for villages lying within 2 miles from 11 KV power lines in Yatsauk Township were raised. Amendment to protection of wildlife and conservation of natural areas bill by National Parliament was reported and sought approval.
