Myanmar \ China: Relations, Cooperation, Agreements

President U Htin Kyaw on Monday met with the chairman of the National People's Congress in Beijing. They exchanged views on the relations between the two countries and accelerating cooperation. President U Htin Kyaw also met with the Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang. They discussed strengthening the relations, implementing the cooperated projects, and accelerating the cooperation. Later the day, President U Htin Kyaw attended a welcome ceremony hosted by his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. President U Htin Kyaw and first lady Daw Su Su Lwin have been in China since the 6th of April for a goodwill visit. Afterwards, the two presidents along with senior officials from both sides attended the Myanmar-China discussion. MOUs on prevention of illicit trafficking of cultural goods, crude oil transportation, cooperation on economics and technology and 6 other agreements were also signed.
