Voice of the Youth 2017 music festival will be hosted on 8th and 9th December, in Yangon. It is supported by the Danish Embassy, Norwegian Embassy and Paung Si facility.
This festival aims to educate the youth on human rights, to participate the youth on the peace process, to create the youth network among the separate ethnic entities with music.
Organizer, Voice of the Youth 2017 Music Festival, May Hla Myat Thu said “Voice of the youth program involved in training program, workshop, nationwide song contest, music festival and album production. In training program, we practiced especially to the youths in freedom of expression, social cohesion, peace and equality. We also engaged to the youth to express the needs and difficulties in their regions, political, economic and social issue.”
This festival is designated to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development in accord with the 16 goals of peace, justice and strong institutions of Sustainable Development Goals.
Organizer, Voice of the Youth 2017 Music Festival, May Hla Myat Thu said “By hosting music festival, it creates to engage for peer communication among the youths and the importance of the youth to participate in democratic dialogue. The Myanmar famous artist will perform and with accompaniment of special guest band from Japan. We planned to host such kind of festival in many places.”
This is the 3rd edition music festival and which hosted since 2015. The ticket price is 10, 000 kyats for two days and the box office takings will be used for the youth programs.
