Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Myanmar Yanghee Lee on Sunday afternoon met with the ministers of Kayin State Government and senior officials in Hpa-an. She inquired about the state security situation, projects, land confiscation and compensation, anti-corruption process, role of the state government in the projects, resettlement tasks for Myanmar citizens at refugee camps along Myanmar-Thailand Border, state development process and mine clearance programmes. Acting state chief minister, ministers and secretary answered the inquiry. The Special Rapporteur also met with CSOs and Kayin communities in Thiri Hpa-an Hotel.
