Japan PM says no point talking to North Korea for the sake of talking

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe gave his view on North Korea at ASEAN meeting in Manila yesterday. He said an almost two-month pause in North Korean missile tests was no indication that it had halted its weapons development. He insisted that it was too early for any talks with the regime. Abe also said that North Korea must agreed first to abandon its nuclear and ballistic missile programme before coming to the negotiation table.
