Efforts For Health: Meeting On Development Of Traditional Medicine

The coordination meeting of the union minister for health and sports, Dr. Myint Htwe and the traditional medical advisory board was held at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

The union minister called for functional advices for the further development of the traditional medical sector and made sure to implement the advices. He also said participation of the entrepreneurs plays a vital role in the plantation, production and distribution of the traditional medicines.

By cooperating with the pharmaceutical entrepreneurs, quality traditional medicines freed from side effects can be produced and utilized. The meeting discussed suggestions from the chairman, vice chairman, secretary and members of the traditional medical advisory board and the union minister stressed the needs on the discussions.

The traditional medical advisory board has 15 members who are experienced traditional medical practitioners, retired senior officers of the traditional medical department, members of central Myanmar traditional medical practitioners association and traditional medical entrepreneurs.
