State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on Tuesday received the World Bank's Vice President for the East Asia and Pacific Region Victoria Kwakwa.
They discussed continued assistance from the World Bank for Myanmar’s peace, social and economic reform processes as well as technical and other assistance for Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan. They also exchanged views on Rakhine State affairs including repatriation and resettlement as well as creation of business opportunities, development of Small and Medium enterprise and services for conflict-affected people.
The World Bank has launched health, education, electricity and communications, agriculture and private sector development projects in Myanmar.
