Members of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) in Myanmar participated in an
ASEAN-wide community service effort this week.
Community projects YOUnified brought together over 1300 people in one single day in 11 cities across Myanmar.
The project is being implemented by the US Embassy to mark YSEALI’s 4th anniversary. The projects focused on youth leadership and environmental activism.
The celebration is also taking place in all 10
ASEAN countries from December 1-10 through youth-led community service projects.
The community action focused on priorities set by YSEALI members ranging from civic education to environmental action.
YOUnified aims to encourage young people to be civically engaged and demonstrate the power of youth to develop solutions to pressing local, national and regional issues.
