13th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting began on Monday at Myanmar International Convention Center 1 in Nay Pyi Taw. State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has joined the officials for the meeting and gave an address. The 2-day Asia-Europe meeting focuses on trading, climate change, global challenges for sustainable development goal, transnational crimes, water route security, cyber security and other regional and international issues. ASEM was established in 1996 aiming to cooperate among member countries in political, economic, social, culture and education sectors based on mutual understanding. ASEM currently has 53 partners which comprised with 30 European countries, 21 Asian countries and 2 regional organizations.
